Find Your Favorite Treats

For those who know me will understand my love for my furry kids. And of course, if you have been to my office (CPR or private sessions), you will highly possibly have met Rocky Balboa (my Pitbull Heeler mix).

This pup is so loving and funny. He loves being rubbed on his belly every time I let him out to greet the customers. This recent time in the CPR training, he was doing his own trick and being cute to get the attention and love he wanted. And this time, he brought to my attention that he is really smart, and he definitely is a great candidate to learn more tricks and/or become a therapy dog. My customer spent quite a bit of time to teach him so tricks, such as roll over, crawling, and jump though a hoop (her arms). These all took him one try for each trick with the help of the amazing treats I provided.

As we continued to watch and enjoy his entertainment, he started to realize that something did not add up right. He came up to me with the ponder look in his eyes. I told him that he did a good job, but he was not pleased with my praise because he realized that he "worked" too much to earn those tricks. He gave me his look that he would not do it again. And there he went right into his kennel.

My customer and I cracked up so loudly to see his reaction. We saw how reluctant he was to do more tricks. So we gave more treats to motivate him. Thank goodness that he is very food-motivated! By providing more goodies, he was willingly to do few more tricks before we said "okay."

From a simple incidence, I have witnessed how positive reinforcements can help foster a desirable behavior even on an animal. Can we imagine what kind of positive reinforcement we must implement in order for our human mind to be willing to make a change? What kind of motivation can really moves us forward and accomplish something we call "great"? What is it we must maintain in order to keep the "treats" in our mind that would be so valuable and irresistible for us to continue to pursue our dreams and attain our goals in our lives?

For me, my favorite treats to motivate myself to exercise is to spend time with my dogs by simply walking each of my 10 dogs individually. I love the bonding time with them and seeing their tongues sticking out with big smiles on their faces. Moreover, I  love feeling my body is getting stronger by simply walking miles with no shortness of breath at all.

We must find the "treats" that work for us. We are all different and motivated by different "treats." Just like Rocky, there are certain brand names and treats he will just stay away from. So, sit down with yourself and ask yourself today, "What will be a great treat(s) for me to provide me a strong and consistent motivation?"

Instinctive Nature

I love my dogs because I learn a lot of selfless and loving acts from them. They are very loving. Instinctively they know how to care for one and other. Isn't it simple? But this instinctive nature in human seems so buried in the dark sometimes. This innate quality is within us. How can we show the world with love? How can we share the love with all? Perhaps it is the time to ponder on how to use our own ways to express love to others (anyone and everyone) creatively in 2016. Learn to be patient with one and other. Patience comes from compassion and love. Let's nurture and cultivate the compassionate seeds in us.

Clarity

Christmas holiday is over and New Year is right around the corner. This is the time when most people reflect on what they have accomplished this year. Some may want to find the clarity on where they need to be and what need to be done in 2016.

But it is interesting to see how it can be uncomfortable to find clarity because we are so accustomed to doing what is expected of us. We are on autopilot to give in to the demands of others, especially if they are in the position of authority. The lack of clarity and confusion are part of the byproducts from this autopilot process.

So allow our inner selves to guide us to the light of the outside our comfort zones. "Think outside of a box" is not just a saying, it is a first step for us to find clarity rather than trying so hard to think or see clearly while sitting in the muddy water of our own comfort zones.

Clarity means changes must be done. Clarity means that we are on our way to evolution and growth. Our comfort zones love to trick us to think it is a foreign  and unsafe thing to leave the comfort zone. When we realize that evolution and growth are unavoidable processes embedded within us (like breathing and eating as part of built-in mechanisms), the trick will no long work anymore. Clarity will come through like a breeze. It will become a sense of relief and comfort because we are no longer confused and lost. We will feel our energy level rise up exponentially to continue these evolution and growth processes.

What is our true purpose?

What is our true purpose?

Is it just about having a great career/success/prosperity/time freedom? Having a great family or maybe just some other things on your To-Do list that is pertaining to you in general?

Have you wondered that we all come to this world to serve just one purpose? The one BIG PURPOSE plain and simple is to be the light to all and connect all consciousness (past/present/future) together with love and light by doing what we are designed to do the best.

This is how I see our relationship with the Creator/God:

God is the CEO of this "company" (this physical realm) that we "work" for. I am basically working at one department for a specific thing, such as "technical support and customer service." And the rest of you, on the other hand, are working at other departments where you can utilize your specialty or talents. Keep in mind that this "company" is meant to provide the one and only type of service - connecting all consciousness with love and light into oneness despite all differences (a.k.a. illusions with heavy duty egoistic thought) on the outside among all of us.

This company will not be running in a healthy and thriving mode if some of the departments were shut down or undermanned. A successful company require a harmonious collaboration of efforts from everyone involved. Teamwork!

Anyways, this is just a thought for today. Many Blessings.

Be the Light to All

Whenever I feel defeated even just for a short moment, I pray to God to give me strength. Whenever I have doubt of my ability to do what I am supposed to do, I ask God to give me super boost to my confidence and bravery. This communication with God has been improving even more so since I moved to AZ. I appreciate and enjoy this communication and my increasing trust in God. God always have greater plans for all of us, but it does not mean it is easy. It only means that God will provide everything we need to accomplish the plan he gave us. God never short-changed us. I encourage everyone to join me to stretch the capacity of faith and trust in God that we are all serving important purposes for God on planet earth - Be the Light to All.

Merry Christ-MAX

Besides that fact that I cherish the time with my family...enjoying a good movie in the morning...spending time with the 4-legger kids, I felt deeply with a strong desire from my heart to give thanks throughout the day today. I felt the love from Christ and God when I gave thanks to the food and the gift of being alive. I do not necessarily have the desire to decorate for Christmas/holidays this year. I felt the peace and love. I did not think much of Santa or anything else like how I used to. I was really thinking about the birth of Christ (although Dec 25 was not the actual birthday for Christ) and how he lived his life.
As I express this gratitude throughout today and I just came home from a simple dinner, I saw this post on Facebook by one of my friends. This is exactly how I feel today..and I want to be this way everyday. Having Christ-like compassion will be a true blessing from God. With Christ within all of us, we find peace, love, joy, and strength.

Merry Christ-MAX everyday!
